Hi, I'm tom

Hi, I’m Tom Nashed, proud Northerner, part-Egyptian, full-time dog lover and the face behind Howay the Hounds. Walking has always been something that helps my mental health, and combining my love of animals — especially dogs — with that passion felt like a no-brainer. Whether it’s a tiny sausage dog or a giant Newfoundland, I love them all and feel incredibly lucky to now spend my time caring for them on such special occasions.

Howay the Hounds was born to help bring together my two biggest passions: dogs and wellbeing. After years of working in the NHS (which I still do, so I currently offer weekend weddings and Friday–Sunday walks), I know just how important it is to find joy in what you do — and this truly brings me happiness.

 

My fiancée Ellyse runs Ellysium Illustration creating beautiful live wedding guest portraits, so it felt natural for me to join the wedding industry too.
